Blarney Breakfast kicks off St. Patrick’s Day festivities in Topeka

St. Patrick’s Day festivities kicked off Saturday in a big way with the Easter Seals Capper Foundation’s 22nd annual Blarney Breakfast.

The Breakfast was held at the Blind Tiger. $20 at the door got you’re a meal, a performance from bag pipers, plus activities for the kids.

All the proceeds went towards services for those with disabilities.

“Charitable contributions really help to provide services,” said Jim Leiker, President & CEO of Easterseals Capper Foundation. “While we get some fees for services and we get some grants and some government money, it’s not enough because there’s a gap between our revenue and out expenses.”

KSNT News anchors Brooke Lennington and Jace Mills were there serving food as well as KSNT Capitol Bureau Chief Courtney Ryan.
