Cold weather doesn’t stop annual Fake Patty’s Day celebration

The cold weather didn’t stop people from coming out to the annual Fake Patty’s Day celebration in Manhattan.

For some, this was their first time attending, and they weren’t going to let the cold keep them from experiencing one of Manhattan’s biggest traditions.

“I’ve been hearing about from my friends for years and I’ve never got the chance to come out,” said Hailey Larkin. “So, we decided to come out.”

Some people in attendance felt that the cold did keep some people away and that it wasn’t as packed as previous years.

“We’re all freshman and wanted to see what it was all about,” said Garrett Mick “It’s freezing cold out here, so I feel like that kind of put a damper on things.”

While it may have been colder than most years, Aggieville was still full of people decked out in green, having a good time.
