What We’re Tracking:
- Turning colder again
- Drizzle or freezing drizzle by late Tuesday
- More cold air ahead
Temperatures will dip back into the lower 10s north to lower 20s south tonight, but with northeast winds at 5-15mph, it will feel much colder than that. Cloud cover will also be building in throughout the night.
Temperatures will be noticeably colder for the next few days as the colder air up north settles southward for the rest of the area during the week. Highs on Tuesday will range from lower 20s north to middle 30s south. Clouds will thicken with the chance for drizzle by Tuesday night into early Wednesday. Because temperatures will be falling below freezing, this freezing drizzle could cause icy spots to develop early Wednesday.
Highs will remain chilly through the end of the week with another chance for some light drizzle late Wednesday and some light snow on Friday before even colder air plunges in for the weekend.
