Deputy, volunteers gather to distribute food

LECOMPTON, Kan. (KSNT) – Deputy Nelson and other volunteers helped distribute groceries to 130 families outside of Stull United Methodist Church Thursday.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s office posted a thank you to the community for volunteering in a time of need.

“Thank you to our great community for coming together yet again to support each other!” they said in the post.
