The eighth annual Original IrishFest will be held this Saturday at S.W. 8th and Jackson in Topeka.
The festivities run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. We’ve broken down all the events for you below.
If you want to grab a bite before the fun starts downtown, you can join KSNT News evening anchors Brooke Lennington, Jace Mills and Chief Meteorologist Matt Miller at the Blarney Breakfast Saturday. The event takes place at the Blind Tiger Brewery and Restaurant from 7 to 10 a.m.
Tickets are $17 for adults in advance and $20 at the door. Children ages three to 11 are $5 in advance and $8 at the door. You can purchase your tickets here.
Funds from admission supports the Easterseals Capper Foundation that helps individuals with disabilities.
Here’s a rundown of the day’s events.
7:30 to 8:30 a.m.: 5K Run registration opens
8 a.m.: Mass at Mater Dei Assumption Church
8 to 10 a.m.: Breakfast served in Rossiter Hall, lower level of Church
8:45 a.m.: Leprechaun Leap for kids, Irish sing-a-long in Rossiter Hall, lower level of church
9 a.m.: 5K Fun Run and 2.5K walk
10 a.m.: 5K Run awards ceremony on entertainment stage STAGE 1
10:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: IrishFest lunch service begins
10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Donkey Show Bluegrass music with an Irish twist STAGE 2
12 p.m. Parade begins and ends at 4th & Kansas Ave.
12 to 2:30 p.m. Beyond the Heather Traditional Irish Music STAGE 1
12:30 p.m. A Taste of Ireland Whiskey Tasting
1:30 p.m. Premium Whiskies of the World Tasting
2:30 to 5 p.m. Flannigan’s Right Hook Pop Irish music STAGE 2
2:30 p.m. Jameson Family Whiskey Tasting

There is no parking allowed on the parade route. There will be free parking in city garages and public lots. There will also be a shuttle from 8th and Madison.
Handicap parking is available on the west side of the Judicial Center parking lot enter from 12th Street east of Harrison.
