What We’re Tracking:
- Areas of freezing fog tonight
- A brief warm-up on Tuesday
- Snow chance returns late Friday into Saturday
Mostly cloudy skies tonight will give way to areas of dense fog forming after midnight. Because temperatures will likely be a little below freezing at that point, this would be a freezing fog and could cause untreated roads and elevated surfaces to ice up a bit.
Tuesday will turn out a bit warmer as highs climb into the lower 40s. The clouds will gradually break up a bit and a mix of sun and clouds is expected by Tuesday afternoon.
Temperatures drop back into the 30s for highs on Wednesday before a quick-passing system brings in a chance for a light winter mix to the area Wednesday night. However, the next major storm system will bring a chance for sleet and snow late Friday that will change over to all snow Friday night and Saturday. Accumulation of snow looks likely with that system.
