Less than one month after announcing he would be transferring to UTEP to join former K-State offensive coordinator Dana Dimel, former Wildcat quarterback Alex Delton will now join the TCU football team instead. Delton announced the decision on his Twitter account.
Man I am so blessed for what I’ve learned through this game & how it has shaped me. I’m proud of what I’ve done but I am not done yet… Change of plans. I will be finishing my final year at TCU. Excited to get started!!! 🐸🐸🐸@TCUFootball pic.twitter.com/is55VZtZdY— Alex Delton (@adelton005) January 16, 2019
Delton was in and out of the lineup as the starting quarterback this season with the Wildcats competing with Skylar Thompson.
The Hays, Kansas native finished the 2018 season with 554 yards passing, 2 touchdown throws, and 2 interceptions. He also ran for 234 yards and 2 touchdowns, including the game winning score against Kansas in the Sunflower Showdown.
