Former White House press secretary visits Topeka

A political celebrity made a stop in TopCity today.

Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer came by the Capitol Plaza Hotel for the annual Kansas Republican Convention.

Spicer is promoting his new book about his time in the Trump administration.

He was interviewed by Senator Moran’s wife about how he thinks the Republican party should move forward.

“I think Republicans need to do a very good job at articulating why our policies are better,” said Spicer. “I think Democrats are doing a better job at thinking with their hearts.”

During his visit Spicer joked with Kansans about his love for the New England Patriots. The Morans gifted Spicer a Patrick Mahomes jersey anyways.
