Several Topeka businesses hosted New Year’s Eve celebrations Monday night.
The Happy Basset hosted its black and white New Year’s Eve party where customers enjoyed drinks and live music.
“We do have a good steady crowd of regulars that come in and so they kind of enjoy coming in so doing different things for them is part of our fun,” said General Manager Kristin Hurst.
Perhaps the biggest celebration in Topeka took place at the Ramada Downtown Hotel and Convention Center.
The event has sold out for its seventh consecutive year, proving to be one of the most popular activities on New Year’s Eve.
“We do this so everyone can come in and not have to worry about anything and really celebrate and enjoy the new year,” said Marketing Supervisor Miles Kramer. “The smile on their faces is what we do it for.”
Other notable New Year’s Eve celebrations around Northeast Kansas include the Dewayn Brother’s New Year’s Eve celebration in Emporia and the Little Apple New Year’s Eve in Manhattan.
