TOPEKA (KSNT) – Federal Fugitive Heidi Lynn Webster was arrested Thursday in Urbana, Illinois by members of the U.S. Marshal’s Service.

Webster pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud the United States on Jan. 9, 2014, but never reported to her sentencing hearing, according to Junction City Police Chief Tim Brown. Webster has been on the run since February.

Webster is believed to be a part of the Sovereign Citizen movement, a group that believes that the U.S. Government is unlawful and therefor refuses to pay taxes and abide by federal laws.

The arrest came well after the U.S. Marshal’s Service requested civilian assistance in locating Webster, who has ties to the Manhattan and Junction City area, back in May.
