On Thursday evening, Chiefs General Manager Brett Veach announced Tyreek Hill will not be taking part in any team activities after an audio recording obtained by KCTV5 was released of Hill speaking to his fiancé Crystal Espinal about their 3-year-old son.

In the recording, Espinal is heard saying. “He is terrified of you and you say that he respects you, but it’s not respect.”

Hill replies, “He respects me.”

“It’s not respect(…) he is terrified of you,” said Espinal to which Hill responds, “You need to be terrified of me, too, b—-. That’s why you can’t keep a f—— man.”

According to KCTV5’s report, Espinal sent the recording to at least one friend for safekeeping because she didn’t feel she could keep it on her phone.

Espinal also said to Hill in the recording, “I rode for you against that detective and the CPS people. And they said time and time again that (…) literally, (…) kept saying, ‘Daddy punches me’, which you do when he starts crying. You make him open his arms and you punch him in the chest. And then if he gets in trouble you just get the belt out.”
