The Kansas State women’s basketball team rallied late to defeat Kansas 72-62 in overtime on Wednesday night at Allen Fieldhouse.
The Wildcats trailed 60-58 in the final seconds of regulation when Peyton Williams tied the game with less than a second to play. The Wildcats grabbed the lead on a Kayla Goth bank shot in overtime and never looked back.
Williams paced the ‘Cats with a game high 26 points while Goth added 19. Austin Richardson led Kansas with 16 points.
The victory improves K-State to 14-9 while KU drops to 12-9.
