K-State’s Xavier Sneed will test the waters and enter the NBA draft. Today is the deadline to declare for the draft Sneed has filled out the necessary paperwork to make that a reality. It does not mean he is gone for good, though.

GoPowercat.com broke the story earlier today and it’s been confirmed since then:

On Sunday afternoon, K-State officials told GoPowercat.com that Sneed has signed the necessary paperwork to enter the 2019 NBA Draft and go through the process of working out for professional teams, in hopes of maybe working his way into the association. K-State did not have an answer when asked if Sneed signed with an agent or not, but he can return to college, regardless.

Despite declaring, Sneed has until May 29th to decide if he’ll return to school for his final year or officially enter the NBA draft.

Barry Brown went through the same information gathering process last year and parlayed that into a great senior season.

We’ll have more information on Sneed and the process as it become available.
