Another supreme court justice steps down, giving governor third court pick

Topeka, Kan. (KSNT) – Carole Beier will retire from the Kansas Supreme Court in September after 17 years.

The retirement gives Governor Laura Kelly her third pick on the court.

In 2019, Kelly appointed Evelyn Wilson to replace Lee Johnson.

In March, she appointed K.J. Wall to replace Lawton Nuss.
