Four Haysville students charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree

HAYSVILLE, Kan. (KSNW) – Four boys were charged Monday in a plot to bomb and shoot people at Haysville Middle School. The threat happened at the school last Thursday.

The charges filed against all four boys are for conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree according to Haysville Police Chief Jeff Whitfield.

Haysville police said after investigating, the four boys were arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Facility.

The boys remain in custody awaiting hearings. Right now, investigators continue to follow up on any leads.

The Haysville Police Chief said parents are encouraged to monitor what their children are doing on the internet, and discuss internet safety with them, as well as encourage them to report anything suspicious or dangerous to an adult immediately.
