KSDB 91.9 is celebrating a major milestone with a throwback rebranding. KSDB is celebrating 70 years on K-State’s campus this year, becoming possibly the longest running “student run“ radio station on the air.
Zach St. Clair, program director and morning show host, says they discovered the title while preparing for the 70th anniversary.
“We realized that there wasn’t anybody else that was in the same age range,“ said St. Clair. “We kind of took it for granted.“
While there are stations that are just as old or older than KSDB, St. Clair says those stations have had periods where they went off the air. 91.9, on the other hand, has been broadcasting non-stop since 1949.
KSDB 91.9 will be officially rebranding back to Wildcat 91.9 in April to celebrate the anniversary. You can listen to the station at 91.9 on the radio or by clicking here.
