The 1st Infantry Division will host its annual Victory Week celebration June 10 to 14 at Fort Riley to honor the men and women of the “Big Red One.”

Members of the public are welcome to join the soldiers as they participate in the ceremonies and unit sporting events throughout the week, culminating in the presentation of the Victory Cup, an award won by the unit that earned the most points throughout the week.

The Victory Park Wreath-Laying Ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. June 10 at the division headquarters building. The ceremony will also include the laying of bricks to memorialize two soldiers who lost their lives while serving in the 1st Infantry Division.

Sporting events include a formation run, basketball, mixed martial arts, football, soccer, softball, volleyball and water “brolo”. There will be public finals for all sporting events on June 12.
