Update: As of 2:46 p.m., the Kansas Highway Patrol said the gas lines have been repaired.
TOPEKA (KSNT) – State troopers are asking people to avoid part of downtown Topeka on Monday due to a broken gas line.
Both the Topeka Fire Department (TFD) and Kansas Gas Service (KGS) are in the area of SW Jackson Street and SW 10th Avenue for repairs on the gas line, according to an alert from the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP). More information will be added here as it becomes available.
