EMPORIA (KSNT) – A Kansas woman was taken to the hospital early Sunday morning after she hit a deer.

Lyon County deputies arrived on scene to the 2200 block of Burlingame Road just before 2 a.m. on a report of a deer accident. Deputies found a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan with substantial damage, and a 53-year-old driver with suspected minor injuries. The driver was taken to Newman Regional Hospital.
