Geary County dive team receives merit pin

JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (KSNT) – Members of the Geary County Emergency Dive Team received their merit pins Monday at the County Commission meeting.

The team is made up of Geary County sheriff’s deputies and Junction City firefighters.

The Dive Team is deployable statewide and trained in both dive rescue and dive recovery. Dive Team Commander Lt. Thad Jones said over the coming months, the team will continue to complete dark water training and cross-train for swift water rescue.
