Governor Laura Kelly talked with Kansas doctors about medicaid expansion.
Kelly attended the Kansas Academy of Family Pysicians meeting Wednesday evening.
She spoke with doctors about what steps she’s taking to get the bill passed.
She also answered questions from doctors about how they can help provide quality care for as many Kansans as possible.
“The actions of the people in the legislature and the governor, they can touch so many more lives than all of the physicians in Kansas in one day just with the simple support of an act,” said KAFP President Jeremy Presley.
The next step for the medicaid bill is to send it to committee for discussion.
