Flooding has postponed Lake Perry’s 50th anniversary fireworks show, with no clear makeup day in sight.

The high waters closed all the ramps for boaters, and the space where the July 6 show would have been held is partially submerged. Staff for the Lake Perry Marina, LLC made the announcement via the fireworks show’s Facebook event page.

They said they will work on a later date announcement soon, and encouraged attendees to visit the local Gambino’s Pizza Sunday. The pizzeria is donating 20% of proceeds to fund the fireworks show.

Lake Perry staff also held the event in 2018, despite a rainstorm at the grand finale.
