Man arrested after deadly Junction City shooting

JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (KSNT) - A man has been arrested in connection to a shooting that left one man dead and another hurt in Junction City. 

Fontelle Jolly, 21, from Junction City was booked into the Geary County Detention Center in connection to the deadly shooting on Friday. 

Just after 4:30 p.m. Junction City Police were called to 2306 Wildcat Ln. for a disturbance. 

When police arrived they found Cartavius King, 25, and Felix Snipes, 29, both from Junction City had been shot. 

Both men were taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.

Snipes later died but police said that King is expected to survive. 

Jolly was booked into jail for murder, attempted murder and aggravated battery. Jolly is currently being held without bond, according to a release. 

This is Junction City's second murder in recent weeks.

On Aug. 9, police found Darian White, 21, dead in a parking lot. Three people were later arrested in connection to that killing. 

Police are still actively working the shooting from Friday.
