TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — A 39-year-old man was arrested after a fatal weekend crash Saturday, July 24 at 3:30 a.m.

Topeka Police Lt. Joe Perry said one person died in the crash that happened around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

Erasmo C. Ramirez Soto, 37 of Topeka, died at the scene after first responders attempted life -saving measures.

Cesar R. Carreto-Orozco, 39 of Topeka, was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter while under the influence, improper driving, and operating a vehicle without a license.

Carreto-Orozco was found near the scene of the crash uninjured.

The man was being held without bond.
