Manhattan businesses still cleaning up after floods

MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) - One week after heavy rain flooded many businesses in Manhattan, they haven't reopened.

One of those businesses is the Powercat Bar and Grill.

Store manager Bo Harris recalls his experience on Monday.

"It was pretty quick, I was in the back doing some inventory work and it started coming in under the doors," Harris said. "By the time I walked out front to see what was going on, it was about a foot and a half deep in the store."

The employees there have spent the last week fixing up the restaurant for it to reopen.

Genesis Health Club also received water damage but they opened last Wednesday.

They still have some work to finish on the building before it will pass inspection.

Harris hopes to reopen the store on Wednesday of this week.
