Manhattan man injured in road course accident

A Topeka police spokeswoman says a 22-year old Manhattan, Kan. man was critically injured following an accident at Heartland Park Topeka.

Gretchen Koenen, with the TPD, says officers were called to the track just south of Topeka on shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday regarding a single-vehicle crash on the road course at Heartland Park.

Police say a 2019 Corvette left the track, struck a wall, rolled and then caught fire.  The driver, Anthony Dallaria of Tulsa, Okla. was taken to a local hospital with injuries.  The passenger, 22-year old Drew T. Casper of Manhattan. Kan. was hospitalized in critical condition at a local hospital.
