Nintendo “techs-up” local elementary school

Local News

Some local third graders are sitting in the driver’s seat of a new kind of science lesson.
Jay Shideler Elementary received a grant from Nintendo last year to bring the Nintendo Labo Classroom Program to Topeka.
The program allows the students to work in teams to build their own R.C. type race cars.
Teachers at the school say it’s helping them practice things like creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.
This week, the students get to race their cars against the other teams, in a March Madness style tournament
