Shawnee County sheriff says person dragged by car in critical condition

AUBURN, Kan. (KSNT) – One person is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a hit and run crash early Sunday morning in Auburn. Shawnee County Sheriff Brian Hill previously told KSNT News the person had died.

Shawnee County Sheriff’s deputies originally went to 151 West Fourth St. around 12:30 a.m. Sunday on reports of an injury crash. The Shawnee County Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call about someone critically injured in an accident and that the person was being transported to the hospital with a personal vehicle.

Deputies reached the car with the victim at I-70, where AMR was then able to transport the person to the hospital.

Investigators said Tyler Moore was involved in the incident.
