Thursday is Kansas Black Legislative Day at the State Capitol. Black Legislative Day is sponsored by the Kansas State NAACP and the community action organization, Community Voice. Today’s topics included, open carry, payday loan interests rates, harsh penalties for non-violent crimes, and the Kansas Foster Care System. Today’s event helped Community Voice activists learn more about the legisative process and how grassroots groups and individuals can get involved to make an impact for change. See more photos here.
