Police emphasize the need for public’s help after deadly Sunday morning shooting

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the person who left one Washburn football player dead, and another injured in an early Sunday morning shooting.

Topeka Police’s preliminary investigation shows the shooting happened at a social gathering outside of a house in the 1400 block of SW 13th Street. Police said there were dozens of people at the party. Right now, they are working to gather more evidence and statements from witnesses.

Therefore, they’re emphasizing the need for the public’s help from anyone who saw anything. 

As of right now, there are no leads as to who was behind the deadly shooting.
