Storms knock out power in parts of Shawnee County

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Overnight storms and winds knocked out power to hundreds of customers early Friday morning in parts of northeast Kansas.

An power outage map from Evergy shows many of the outages in Shawnee County are in southeast Topeka and the southern part of the county.

A spokeswoman for Evergy says there are teams assessing and prioritizing work. Crews have been working on power restoration since early Friday morning.

It’s not known when power will be restored.
