TOPEKA (KSNT) – Three of the City of Topeka’s top officials met Tuesday morning to discuss the latest happenings in the Capital City.
City Mayor Mike Padilla, Topeka Chief of Police Bryan Wheeles and Interim City Manager Richard Nienstedt gathered at City Hall at 10 a.m. to talk about what’s new in Topeka. Among the topics discussed by the trio included:
- Safety on local trails following community concerns
- Keeping city workers safe during the heat wave
- The land bank program
- The Hotel Topeka
- The search for a permanent city manager
