Topeka homeowner caught would-be burglar in the act

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) - Police said a man in central Topeka caught two people breaking into his car early Sunday morning.

He was alerted to the prowlers by his motion sensor around 1:35 a.m. When he went outside his home near SW 10th Street and Medford Avenue to investigate he saw two people on his property. One of the people was rummaging through the man's vehicle. 

One of the suspects ran away, but the homeowner was able to hold the other one until TPD officers arrived. The suspect who didn't get away is a teen boy. Police arrested him for conspiracy to commit burglary, theft and battery.
