Trooper Ben asks Kansas drivers to slow down after multiple crashes on icy highways

GEARY COUNTY, Kan. (KSNT) - A local Kansas Highway Patrol trooper has responded to multiple crashes on highways in Kansas, and wants drivers to stay safe in icy weather conditions Wednesday morning.

The Twitter-famous KHP Trooper Ben tweeted out photos of two crashes he responded to in Geary County.

In a video, Trooper Ben cautioned drivers involved in crashes to avoid getting out of their cars, as other cars sliding out on the roads can hit them.

The warning from the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper comes alongside Topeka and Riley County police, and the Shawnee County Sheriff's Office entering emergency walk-in reporting.
