TOPEKA (KSNT) – A suspect related to a stabbing Tuesday night has been arrested.
The Topeka Police Department reports that at 9:48 Tuesday night officers were sent to a reported stabbing in the 2100 block of SE Pioneer Way in Topeka. When officers arrived they located the stabbing victim, 27-year-old Andre Meredith Jr. of Topeka with multiple stab wounds. Meredith was transported to a local hospital where he received emergency medical treatment and was treated with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say that during the course of the investigation, information was developed that there was a dispute between known parties that led to the stabbing incident.
On Wednesday at 10:42 p.m., the stabbing suspect, 26-year-old Justin Eugene Glover of Topeka, was taken into custody in the 2100 block of SE 21st Terrace, in Topeka by the U.S. Marshal Task Force without incident. He was transported to the Law Enforcement Center and interviewed by detective(s).
Glover was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for attempted second degree murder & aggravated battery.
Topeka Police say they are not looking for any additional suspects related to this criminal investigation.
