U.S. Geological Survey reports 3.0 magnitude earthquake outside Junction City

HOPE, Kan. (KSNT) – A 3.0 magnitude earthquake was reported Friday night in Hope, Kan., west of Junction City, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

The earthquake happened around 9:50 p.m. Friday around two miles northeast of Hope, 30 minutes from Junction City, according to the USGS.

A 3.0 magnitude earthquake is considered weak. In 2018, the Kansas Geological Survey reported less than 10 within the month of Oct.
