As you prepare to vote, two companies are going the extra mile to help get you to the polls.

Uber and Lyft are both offering free rides to voting locations on election day.

One Washburn student said she thinks college students can benefit the most from the free service and they should take advantage of it.

“It’s convenient that they’re going to be here on campus and they’re going to take you where to go,” said Washburn student Jessica De La Rosa. “So, there’s definitely no excuse not to vote.”

She also says there are students on campus who walk around with tablets and hot spots to help students register to vote right then and there.
