Newman Regional Health’s expanded Emergency Room got a $10,000 boost Tuesday from members of the facility’s auxiliary board.
“It is a privilege and an honor to be able to support the changes taking place at Newman Regional Health. Our team of dedicated volunteers makes it possible for us to contribute to the overall improvements within the hospital, resulting in quality care for our community” said Carolyn Hossfeld, 2019 Auxiliary President.
The expanded ER opened its doors just last week and the express care medical center opened last month. Newman’s new ER has 19 rooms and a centralized nursing station, compared with 10 rooms prior to the expansion which began in 2017.
Newman serves Lyon, and most of Chase, Coffey, Greenwood, Morris, Osage, and
Wabaunsee Counties in East Central Kansas.
