Volunteers needed for a variety of charitable causes

‘Tis the season for many local charitable agencies to gear up for the holiday rush and the needs of the less-fortunate in Topeka and vicinity.

Here’s a list of some of the agencies asking for community support:

  • The Greater Topeka Salvation Army: The army is currently collecting winter coats at all Scotch Cleaner’s locations for the big “Share the Warmth” coat giveaway on Saturday December 1st. That is also the first day of the annual bell ringing campaign. The Salvation Army is urging volunteers to sign up to ring bells at the following website https://www.registertoring.com
  • Topeka’s Let’s Help, which operates a food and clothing bank, and provides educational services among a host of other programs is in need of volunteers for a variety of positions.  Call with questions at 785-234-6208.
