TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) — It’s been 18 years since terrorist attacks rocked the United States.

Nearly 3,000 people were killed when terrorists hijacked planes and flew them into the World Trade Center in New York City, The Pentagon in Washington D.C. and a field in rural Pennsylvania.

The attacks sent shock waves across the country, including in Northeast Kansas.
