Woman's house badly damaged in fire, one injured

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) - A house at 3148 Shawnee Heights Road  was badly burned in a fire Wednesday morning.

Shawnee Heights Fire responded to the fire in the 3000 block of Shawnee Heights Road around 11:15 a.m, dispatch said. The home damaged in the fire belongs to Patricia S. McDonald.

McDonald earned the nickname "CRV Lady" after multiple reports of erratic driving in a Honda CR-V and harassing behavior in public, which resulted in Topeka police revoking her car keys and driver's license.

Emergency workers said a female was taken from the house fire in an ambulance, but could not confirm her identity. KSNT News has a crew on scene working to determine the cause and extent of damage.
