Woman sentenced in crash that killed 3 Kansas family members

Maria De Jesus Perez-Marquez will spend four years in prison for the deaths of three members of the Ukele family.

Pereze-Marquez was sentenced Friday afternoon by a Jackson County judge.

She will spend four years in prison.  The sentence is 1 year for each count of vehicular homicide. She was also sentenced to 13 months for an aggravated battery charge.

Perez-Marquez pled guilty to three misdemeanor counts of vehicular homicide and 1 felony count of aggravated battery when she struck a car, killing Carmen Ukele, 42, Marlee Ukele, 11, and Stephen Ukele, 62 in November 2017.
