Zoo director gives inside look at safety features for carnivore exhibit

After a tiger attacked a Topeka zookeeper, an internal investigation is underway.

KSNT News got an inside look at the safety measures used for the carnivore exhibts.

Behind the exhibit, you will find double sets of locks, metal walls, and lots of doors.

The staff says they have multiple doors in place to close off areas in case an animal escapes.
There are also lots of mirrors so workers can look down corners.
According to the zoo’s director, there are a number of safety measures before workers even enter the building as well.
