Advisors Excel wants students to know you don’t have to look far to find opportunity.

More than 100 Topeka Juniors and Seniors learned at Advisors Excel as part of their Real World Day.

It was a full day of learning not only about Advisors Excel, but also the many educational and job opportunities in Topeka.

This is part of an ongoing partnership between the company and Topeka Public Schools.

Superintendent Tiffany Anderson says it’s a win-win.

“Topeka is an amazing place. We get the opportunity through this event to identify talent, develop and show talent where they fit in in the wonderful area of Topeka,” Anderson said.

Throughout the day students learned from department leaders about things like finance and creative services.

David Callanan, Cofounder of Advisors Excel, gave some important career tips and said he wants students to gain an appreciation for what Topeka has to offer.

“Sometimes we sell ourselves short in our community so we want these kids to know that businesses are thinking about them,” Callanan said.

This was the second year Advisors Excel held Real World Day.
