Man who used pink bandana, tire iron to rob dollar stores arrested

Topeka Police have arrested a man suspected of robbing two Dollar General stores with a tire iron.

Daniel A. Heneck, 28, was arrested in connection to the robberies. 

The first robbery happened at the store at 2042 NW Topeka Boulevard, the second happened about a half-hour later at the at the store near 10th and Fairlawn.

Heneck is accused of wearing a pink banda over his face and using a tire iron to rob two Dollar General stores on Friday morning. 

He demanded money and then took off. Police haven’t said how much money Heneck got away with. 

No one was hurt in either robbery. 

Topeka Police said the Kansas Highway Patrol pulled over the Ford Taurus that matched the description given by witnesses, according to a release. 

In a release, police said Heneck was arrested without incident. He was booked into Shawnee County jail on two charges of aggravated battery.
