After seeing an ad for the Kansas Lottery on his phone, Justin Brown of Manhattan decided to buy an instant scratch ticket Sunday afternoon.

Little did he know that one ticket would win him $25,000.

“I’m still in shock! I’m excited and waiting for reality to kick in,” said Brown. “Winning didn’t really kick in until my drive over here to claim the ticket.”

Brown explained he occasionally plays the lottery, but never imagined winning this much money. He said he decided to play the $5 Super Jumbo Bucks instant scratch game because of the colors on the ticket.

“I’m excited to fix up my truck, but I’m not really going to buy anything with my winnings. I’m just going to relax.” said Brown.

The winning ticket was sold at Kwik Shop 733 located at 1337 Anderson Ave. in Manhattan.
