JASPER, Mo. (AP) – A southwest Missouri sheriff says a home where a 13-year-old boy was arrested in the death of a 12-year-old girl is not a foster home.Jasper County Sheriff Randee Kaiser says both the 13-year-old boy and the victim lived in the home.Kaiser previously said the site of the Oct. 8 shooting was a foster home.On Thursday, the sheriff’s office emailed a statement seeking “to clarify” that characterization. The statement says the home is not a foster home now, although adults at the home had over the years taken in a number of foster children.He says there were no foster children at the time of the shooting at the home, which is about 130 miles south of Kansas City.The 13-year-old boy is being held by juvenile authorities.
