NBC News has projected Laura Kelly will take the Kansas governor seat Tuesday evening.
The projection announcement came at 9 p.m., just after Independent candidate Greg Orman announced he was conceding in the governor race.
With 45 percent of precincts reporting at 9 p.m., Democrat Kelly holds 330,981 votes to Republican candidate Kris Kobach’s 266,175 votes.
