More people are visiting the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center than ever before.
The museum announced on Tuesday that in 2018 more than 88,000 people came through the doors. About 27,000 of those people traveled to the museum from out-of-town.
President Dene Mosier said those are record-breaking numbers.
“We know families drive through Topeka just for the opportunity to be at our children’s museum. It really is the place to come and play,” Mosier said. “We invite folks to come spend a day in Gage Park. You can spend many hours here. Really the only time we see tears is when kids have to walk out the front door.”
Mosier also said the museum is a great place for kids to visit while they’re on spring break.
