The Kansas City Chiefs are hiring Steve Spagnuolo as the team’s new defensive coordinator according to a report from NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Spagnuolo was most recently the Giants’ defensive coordinator and interim head coach in 2017. He was also the Rams head coach from 2009-2011. He shares the same agent as Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and the two worked together when Reid was the coach in Philadelphia.

Spagnuolo replaces Bob Sutton, who was fired on Tuesday.
